Designed for Veterans and Minorities
Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant offers a Veterans and Minority Franchise Program available to veterans of the United States Armed Forces and minorities who are U.S. citizens that own a controlling interest in any entity that desires to become a franchisee, and who otherwise meet our minimum requirements (financial and otherwise) for the award of a franchise. For the purposes of our program, a minority includes any person who falls within one or more of the following categories, as defined by the United States Census Bureau: (1) African American; (2) American Indian and Alaska Native; (3) Hispanic; or (4) Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander.
Upon approval, a veteran or minority application will pay only one-half of the Franchise Fee at the time of the signing of the Development Agreement for the applicant’s first seafood restaurant. We will defer the balance of the Franchise Fee for that first agreement until the second anniversary of the opening date of the Captain D’s restaurant under the agreement or until the termination or transfer of the agreement if that occurs prior to the second anniversary. Royalties for the first Captain D’s restaurant opened by a franchisee under the program will equal 2.5% of gross sales for the first full year of operations and the current royalty rate provided for the franchisee’s Franchise Agreement thereafter. The Veterans and Minority Franchise Program applies only to the first restaurant opened by a veteran or minority franchisee.
